Description
Given the importance of history for the people of this nation—to understand their country's past, comprehend their nation's history, recognize the struggles of their Arab and Islamic peoples and their perseverance, and grasp human history in general as a record and narrative of the past—through knowledge of history, our people become better equipped to confront and respond to enemies and colonizers who constantly aim to cast doubt on our abilities to create, innovate, and excel. They become more capable of facing challenges scientifically, intellectually, and politically. Due to the significance of all this, the History Department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2001–2002.
Since its inception, this department has worked diligently to achieve its mandated objectives. It has graduated a large number of teachers, researchers, and history scholars to meet the needs of society and affirm the civilizational and militant role of our country and our Arab and Islamic nation.
