A Field Study on the Role of Historical Landmarks and Monuments in Developing Tourism in Libya — Al-Asaba’a as a Model.


Under the supervision of Dr. Somaya Al-Shanta and accompanied by professors Saud Bin Saad, Nour Al-Din Mohammed Jamal Al-Din, and Hatem Qujam, students and faculty members of the Geography Department carried out an educational visit to historical landmarks in the city of Al-Asaba’a, including:


- **Castle of Masika**, dating back to the Roman era.  

- **Old Masika**, known as "Al-Bilad."


The students explored these significant historical sites, which are rich with cultural heritage, and studied ways to utilize, develop, and maintain them according to a scientific plan that aims to preserve them.
